It’s like they’re TRYING to make me hate them.

Ignored my request for press credentials, ignored my multiple emails/tweets/messages/phone calls and then revoke my ticket the NIGHT BEFORE THE EVENT? Yes, this how you deal with a reporter. Good job.

While that’s infuriating, finding out that you guys allegedly did this to multiple Democrat/Independent voters scheduled to attend this “open to the public town hall” is downright DISGUSTING.

Seriously, if you’re looking for bad press, this reporter will be HAPPY to give it to you. You get one more shot, Romney-Ryan 2012. 3 strikes, you’re out.

On another note, I’ve been credentialed into 2 Obama-Biden events this summer. They’ve spoken specifically on college kids and student loans. I have tons of footage and pictures of both Pres. Obama’s event in Windham on the 18th and the First Lady’s visit to Manchester on August 2nd.

This “summer campaign recap” package is gonna be FUN to write. -_-

And it looks like I may have a bigger story to work on anyway.

Love what you have/And you’ll have more love

So I was supposed to watch a live shot from Nashua. It didn’t work out. And that was okay. BECAUSE – I’ll be spending the last night of my internship in the newsroom – where I feel like I should be. I was scared before that I wouldn’t get to say goodbye properly (which is dumb, I know) but now I’m here. Of course, now I’m scared that I’m going to cry, but we’ll deal with that when it gets here. Which hopefully…ya know…won’t happen.

“It’s the least that I can do/My final gift to you”

Today is the last day of my internship at WMUR-TV. It was very possibly one of the best summers of my life. (and I thought last year’s week at Space Camp would be untoppable!) And so I’m saying thank you the best way I know how (since saying nice things isn’t my strong suit) – I’m saying it with cookies. I definitely feel like I could do better, but this is all I could come up with. There are New Hampshires, nines (we’re News Nine) and the call letters. I think they’re adorable, and the reaction so far has been good.

So thank you, everyone. ❤

Trial By Fire…?

For the past two years, I’ve been calling myself a “reporter”.

Tomorrow, I’ve got to put my money where my mouth is.

I’m going – alone – to a campaign event with the First Lady of the United States. And I’ve got my own media credentials. And I’m putting together my own story for the student station. Editing. Tracking. Filming. Everything. All on my own.

I guess tomorrow night we’ll find out just how much of a “reporter” I am.
